KOLON TRAIL RUN BHUTAN 2026 is the first official international trail race to open in the Kingdom of Bhutan — a single 40km line drawn through the Himalaya.
Bhutan. The only nation on earth to place Gross National Happiness at the heart of how it governs, and the world's only carbon-negative country — absorbing more than it emits. A hidden Himalayan kingdom that has guarded its nature and traditions, restricting even tourism.
In October 2026, a single trail opens there. At dawn you set off from Paro (2,300m), cross a 4,000m summit, and finish 40km later before the 51m golden Buddha Dordenma, above the capital Thimphu.
